Stephanie Rogers occupies a studio on 2nd Ave in Fernie called Stephanie’s Glass and Art Studio and inside this little studio she creates stained glass and sandblasted art. The 2nd ave shop displays her work and some samples of both areas of expertise but her focus is on custom one-of-a-kind works for doors, windows, railings, shower enclosures, lamps and other environments with glass. When I dropped in on Friday Stephanie was taking glass from an old family stained glass window panel and was in the process of drawing out the plans for an original stained glass design. What a cool idea.
Her own original sandblasted wine glasses, votives and other treasures can be purchased and always with the option of adding your own custom message into any of the glassware pieces. Stephanie has done many bride and groom, awards, anniversary designs and she’s not limited to glass either – she can do custom carvings into stone or tile. I was amazed.
