Wildsight Shares

Wildsight Elk Valley branch offers a share shed with a nice list of shared items, which makes perfect sense because you don’t need to buy everything. I am certainly not going to buy an apple press. Couldn’t this be expanded to the whole community because there are things we need once in a while, such as a hedge trimmer, but could I borrow one instead? I certainly don’t dehydrate fruits very often and if I did want to, I could contact Wildsight.

If anyone needs a large 100 year old paper cutter, don’t worry about it, just contact me and you can use mine.

Hearth, A Favorite Holiday Sale

Hearth - Holiday Sale - local handmade goods, professional makers

From Hearth’s Facebook page:

Hearth 6: Annual Holiday Sale!

Featuring the finely crafted work of 6 local artists. Leanne Stothert Painting, Michael Hepher of Clawhammer Press, Janet McIntyre jewelry, Katherine Russell blown and fused glass, Holly Kimola of Holly Horses leather and lamps and Sarah Pike Pottery!

Every year we empty out our house of furniture and turn our home into a cozy pop up gallery. We call it Hearth, because we have the woodstove burning, the mulled wine brewing and along with offering up some excellent gift buying opportunities, we hope to evoke that sense of gathering around the fire on a winter evening with friends.

We are so looking forward to this sale and hope to see you there. Dec 2nd and 3rd, 4-8pm both nights!

Friday, December 2nd and Saturday 3rd
4 – 8 pm
