What the poster says:
Dear Fernie Community,
Recently, two little angels were taken from their families and our community before they even had a chance to shine. The devastation for the families concerned had a huge effect on the community and showed the amazing effect that the power of community can have in helping those who have suffered such a loss.
From this tragedy, we came up with the idea of creating an “Angel Garden”, a peaceful place where families who have suffered the loss of a child can plant a perennial in remembrance of the loss of someone so young. Somewhere they, and also members of the community can come and sit and feel at peace amongst the garden.
Our vision is to create a beautiful, serene arbor garden, which will be known as the “Angel Garden”. This will be a place that parents who have lost a child will be able to plant a perennial and to sit and reflect in a peaceful environment. All community members will be welcome in this area to come and sit and remember.
We are hoping to raise enough funds to be able to complete this garden by the Fall.
Any donation, large or small would be greatly appreciated. If you don’t have cash but would like to donate your time or materials that will be needed, this would be just as appreciated.
Cash donations can be dropped off at “Womb to Grow” by Mugshots, “Grow” on 2nd Ave or to the Angel Garden account at EKCCU credit union. If you would prefer to pay online by PayPal, please visit the Ecogarden’s website.
If it is time or materials that you can donate, please contact us by email to email@example.com
Thank you so much for helping us to make the “Angel Garden” a reality for those who have lost and also for our community.
