“Now in it’s 4th year, this fun event is a colourful walk / run fundraiser event followed by a concert with Hark Raving Sirens.
This is a great family event that raises funds for the Fernie Child Care Society, a local non-profit organization. Come and check out some of our amazing community trails and their beautiful fall colours. Be sure to join us after the race with refreshments and food, prizes and live music by the Hark Raving Sirens.

The route is 5 km walk or run with colour stations along the way. Costumes recommended! Plan to get covered in powdered colours so wear clothes that can get dirty and as well as your sunglasses!

The schedule is alive!
Now’s the time to make your own Wapiti schedule (mostly for those who have kids that still nap). Rod and I will be tag teaming here and there so the kids can get a break, eat properly, nap and we’ll be at the festival for the bands we don’t want to miss.
I also like to take a picture of the schedule and use it as my ‘lock screen’ for easy access. Brilliant.
Tonight, Hark Raving Sirens and The Steadies are playing at the The Arts Station for a free downtown concert. There’s so much to enjoy this weekend because on Sunday the Bibbity Boppity Boo Children’s Festival and market is at Rotary Park. A great time for all – especially if you like balloons and bubbles.
