Fernie Colour Crawl 2 is coming up September 26th, 2015. “5.5 km. Just for fun walk or run. Concert, BBQ and beer garden at the finish line. All ages welcome! You can walk or run the event course. You can enter as a team or as an individual. Prizes awarded for best costumes, fastest time, best team spirit, best team name, most colourful, etc.”
“All proceeds go to The Fernie Childcare Society for the development of their outdoor playspace and the Fernie and District Arts Council for the youth initiative fund.”

Tonight we have a busy night in Fernie. Jesse Plessis, the pianist, is playing at Mountainside, Amber Dawn, the author, is talking about her book at Fernie Heritage Library and Shred Kelly, the folk band, is having an album release party at Fernie Community Centre…and who knows, maybe they will all walk into a bar by the end of the night.

For those who don’t know what this is, Shred Kelly is boarding the CBC Radio3 Tracks on Tracks train. As the train makes its way across Canada, the bands will be performing on and off the train, stopping to perform secret shows at stations along the way.
Tracks on Tracks departs from Vancouver on June 8th and arrives in Toronto on June 12th.
