Tonight we have a busy night in Fernie. Jesse Plessis, the pianist, is playing at Mountainside, Amber Dawn, the author, is talking about her book at Fernie Heritage Library and Shred Kelly, the folk band, is having an album release party at Fernie Community Centre…and who knows, maybe they will all walk into a bar by the end of the night.
Check our events page for more information.
Stoke Folk is the name of the album release party. Sing To The Night is the title of their 3rd album. Shred Kelly is their name. Let’s party.
Fernie Community Centre on Saturday, January 31st from 6pm to 2am. $10 tickets.
Sounds like a good New Year’s Eve!
Because Shred Kelly knows they have a big youth fan base they’ve included an early show from 6-8pm – $10 tickets. The 19+ show starts at 9 and goes into 2015 – $10 tickets. You can buy your tickets on their website shredkelly.com along with some pretty awesome Shred Kelly toques.
Check out our (from Fernie) Shred Kelly’s new music video! They’re big time now. Shred Kelly is Sage McBride, Tim Newton, Jordan Vlasschaert, Ty West, and Ian Page-Shiner.

For those who don’t know what this is, Shred Kelly is boarding the CBC Radio3 Tracks on Tracks train. As the train makes its way across Canada, the bands will be performing on and off the train, stopping to perform secret shows at stations along the way.
Tracks on Tracks departs from Vancouver on June 8th and arrives in Toronto on June 12th.
I’m talking about the Tracks on Tracks CBC Radio3 train that will take Canadian bands on a rock ‘n’ rail adventure from Vancouver to Toronto. Three are to be picked from Western Canada and Shred Kelly has made the Top 50. The next round is the Top 25! We gotta get them on that train! By golly!
To vote, click here and fill out this survey. You gotta do it before April 23rd. I know Shred Kelly would really appreciate it.
