Some information about the best day of the year:
“The Community Yard Sale is back and set to take place Saturday June 2nd from 8AM to 12PM! All individuals, families, organizations and businesses in Fernie are encouraged to take part. The registration fee is $20.00, and all funds raised will go towards Wildsight Elk Valley Projects.
NEW THIS YEAR! For $10 you can join in the Community Sale located across the road from the Wildsight Elk Valley office (891 2nd Ave). This is perfect for those who don’t want to host a sale, have no space to host a sale or just have a few items to sell. Feel free to contact us for more info!
Wildsight Elk Valley will also host a “White Elephant” yard sale at their office at 891 Second Avenue in Fernie, where citizens who are inspired to declutter but don’t have the time to sell their goods can donate them to the Wildsight Yard Sale.
Community members can register to be a part of the Wildsight Community Yard Sale by visiting wildsight.ca/yardsale or look for the registration form in the Fernie Free Press in May, 2018 editions.
As usual, the $20.00 registration fee includes several benefits including a Community Yard Sale sign, an advertisement of your Community Yard Sale location on Wildsight’s exclusive Community Yard Sale map which will be published in The Fernie Free Press on May 31st, 2018, and the extensive event promotion. Registration to be on the map ends May 24th, 2018.
You can of course register after this date but addresses will only appear online and on social media and not in the Free Press map.
You can contact the organizers via email email@example.com, drop by the Wildsight office at 891 2nd Ave or call for inquiries (250) 423- 3322.”
If anyone’s interested we’re having a yard sale. Check it out at 561 6th Avenue. It’s on all day!
Here’s some initial information on an upcoming event here in Fernie!
Please mark your calendar on Saturday, July 9th for a Garage Sale that will be occurring outside the Loaf Bakery.
At this time we are asking for donations for the garage sale with all proceeds going to the Angel Garden project. If you have items you would like to donate, please let me know!! Details regarding a drop off location to follow.
So start setting aside some items that you would like to clear out of your space and are willing to donate to this community project.
We really appreciate your generosity.
By the way, if you’re wanting to learn more about the Angel Garden Project you can read up about it on Facebook.
And don’t forget to come shopping on the morning of the 9th!
We are so grateful for everyone’s support.

Large Yard Sale on Saturday May 28th, 9 Mount Klauer at 10:00am. Owner is moving out and everything must go, priced to sell….
Yard sale tip of the day – There’s going to be a yard sale in the back parking area at Bunches on Saturday, May 21st! Baby items, games, picture frames and more – All at amazing low prices!
10 am to 4 pm. Don’t be early.
I’m going to start posting scheduled yard sales that I become aware of. Here’s the first one:
Yard Sale tip of the day – From OurFernie.com – On Sat May 14th at 1001-9th Ave (Annex). Electronics, sporting gear, clothing and more… Starts at 9 and ends at 5, just like Dolly Parton!
OurFernie.com’s buy and sell section is not as cheap as I’d expect/like it to be. It feels like it’s getting harder and harder to find good deals in there…used beds for 500 dollars? bike rack for $150? It’s probably my own fault, thinking these pages of items for sale should be more like a yard sale…
“$0.50 for this book? I’ll give you $0.25.”…. “sold.”
I’m looking forward to summer yard sales.
Deal of the week today is the “Cheap bike“, without a picture, for $20.
“I’ll give you $10.”
